Ok, so a lot of feedbacks on this product and I've tried other descalers over the years. Here are my advice to anyone who is using it -

1. First and foremost, please buy a pair of rubber gloves. Find a thick fiber container to mix the acid. Keep a normal bathroom wiper ready. You'll need a blunt knife or a paper cutter. And lastly keep the harpic orginal 10x toilet cleaner ready at your side for the end.

1. Pour the acid from the bottle to the fiber container. Use very little in the beginning. If you have already washed the bathroom, then add less water, else add 1:1 water to it. Pour it slowly on one calcium deposit and check if it's hurting the tiles or not. If you see color of tiles coming out immediately wash it and you can't use it.

2. Even tough it's advertised as tile cleaner, it is not and don't expect it to clean your water marks or fungus marks. Read till the end to know how to finish it off.

3. Once you're confidant it will not hurt the tiles pour the liquidified solution to scaled areas. Do note IT WILL EAT AWAY YOUR WHITE CEMENT GROUTING. So, if you're applying this product yourself, get ready to call the mason next day and get a white cement fillers for the tiles done. You'll be set for a long time.

4. Always apply to the high end of the floor, so that the solution can flow towards the drain. If you have highly concentrated scales like I had, you need to find a blunt knife or paper knife. This time add water to solution as 2 parts solution : 1 Part water. Once you pour it to the stubborn area, start using you knife to chip away the scales gently so that you don't hurt the tiles. Please keep washing your gloves from time to time.

5. Remember you need to put the solution and wash away every 10 minutes or so. You need to repeat till all scales are gone to your satisfaction. I repeatedly poured it and washed it total 7 times and it took me about 2 hours to get rid off all the deposition.
Note: you can wipe it with a wiper or clean it with a clean cloth, if you don't want to wah it again and again.

6. Remember that if you add too much water to the acid, it won't work as the solution gets diluted too much.

7. Once you're done with most of the descaling, open the harpic bottle and pour it to your bathroom stain marks and water marks. Wipe it clean with the wiper. And Viola! You're done. Remember that Harpic is also a mild descaler, if used in higher concentrations.

8. Tuck away the bottle of acid away from children, alongwith the rubber gloves and the fiber container.

I hope you can enjoy a clena looking restroom like I do now.

I don't think this can be used for toilets, I used it for bathroom tiles. Hardwater made tiles look browinish; Even vinegar dint help! Tried this and it worked.
I don't recommend following instructions listed on product (as it dint work in my case): I poured the liquid on wet tiles and left it for 5 minutes & used a brush to clean. Instant result (unlike vinegar - I used it for the seat).
Look - dark red wine 🍷 color and transparent.
There are similar products by same company and idk what's the difference.

Overall rating: 4 (coz it dint resolve edges!)

Great and effective product. Just to test i applied to a small portion near room entrance. U can see the difference. No Much effort. Mix with water and apply to dirty tile area. Leave for 5mins and brush it off easily. No need to put extra energy to scrub.

The product was undoubtedly successful in removing extremely old, tough stains on bathroom ceramic glazed tiles which Harpic couldn't - despite regular usage since several years.

But, along with the stains, it has also taken off the grouting between the tiles. Grouting is the cement which is applied between 2 tiles to stick them together and avoid leakage below from the cracks between 2 tiles. Not just that, when this liquid is poured, the effervescence gives out a nauseating smell. It looks like pink coloured water and is very difficult to pour from the bottle since the bottle does not have a nozzle.

Have switched back to Harpic!

Roff is very good,I used it fr commode, basin, tiles, floor. Actually floor I need to do 1 more application, but basin & commode & tiles r looking as new πŸ‘ŒπŸ½, I took half hour fr cleaning floor+basin+commode, left fr 10 mins, & washed with water, used surgical gloves, but without gloves also it can be used I believe, while applying it's ok, but when washing it with water after 10 mins there's a acidic smell, so u can use mask or kerchief to cover ur nose, or if u r strong enough to bear the smell then fine,
items I used are = small bucket fr mixing 1:1 ratio,(for floor), a hand brush,a floor brush & scotch brite.
Fr floor I mixed roff with water, but fr commode & basin & tiles I used undiluted, it really gave good results.
Finally very good results, thanks Roff & Amazon. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸŒΈπŸŒΊ
Actually I took videos but dint understand how to upload.
